Campaign terms
By creating and submitting a campaign on Bookbag, advertisers agree to the following rules. These sit alongside the full Terms of Service, Content Guidelines, and Privacy Notice.
- Safeguarding comes first. All activity content must be suitable for children and for use in a safeguarding-first environment.
- Venue approval is required. Each participating venue must review and approve any booked material before printing or distributing it.
- No child data. Advertisers must not request, collect, or receive personal data from children (or parents) through the materials or any related mechanic (e.g., QR-code signups aimed at children).
- Clear, honest content. Materials must not mislead, pressure, or manipulate children. No "pester power" tactics.
- Age and curriculum/setting fit. Content must match the selected age range and the venue context (e.g., primary-aged activities remain primary-appropriate).
- Local fulfilment. Venues print and distribute materials locally to the agreed quantity and timeframe.
- Branding limits. Branding must follow platform templates/guidelines (logo size/placement, tone, and claims). No competitor targeting or sensitive-category messaging to children.
- Right to reject or pause. Bookbag and venues can reject, remove, or pause any campaign/material that risks trust, safety, or compliance.
- Booking commitments. Once a booking is confirmed, advertisers are responsible for payment according to the cancellation/refund rules shown at checkout.
- Respect venues. Advertisers must not contact venues directly to pressure approval or request extra distribution outside the booking.
- Reporting issues. Any safeguarding or content concern must be reported via the platform immediately, and distribution stopped if requested.
